For those who seek to defend LGBT people against those who cite the bible when condemning them, this book is a real blessing. It makes its case plainly but thoroughly.
Very well written book, illustrating very well the literal language of the original Scriptures and how they've been mistranslated and misunderstood by today's society...and examining the historical cultural context of the time these were written and WHY these issues were actually addressed. Very different from today's society and why these scriptures have often been misunderstood as to their true meaning and purpose.
Biblical survey about the issue by a Gospel believing PHD theologian. Intelligent and well researched. Highly informative, although not convincing on a few of the arguments. Highly recommended for anyone trying to grapple with or reconcile complex and sensitive issue.
This slim volume is both readable and scholarly, providing an overview of scriptural interpretation based on the historical and cultural context in which the books of the Bible were written. A must for anyone who wants both to read the Bible accurately and to embrace loved ones who are gay, no strings attached.

nice book
This book was very enlightening, although it does get rather repetitive, and I ended up getting bored and skimmed through the last few sections. The reader also needs to be warned that the book is very graphic and explicit. I would recommend it, though, because as it says, it does tell you "What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality". It was very informative and really increased my knowledge and perspectives on the whole issue and of homosexuality, and on logic and debate in general.
